Good design is a renaissance attitude that combines technology, cognitive science, human need, and beauty to produce something that the world didn’t know it was missing—Paola Antonelli
Located in Seattle, Washington, I possess 7 years combined background in enterprise UX Design, User Research and work as a Subject Matter Expert In UX Design. In addition to this background, I also have 6 years experience delivering award-winning UI Design, Web Design and Content Strategy allowing me to bridge divides between product, marketing and service delivery teams. A data-driven UX designer able to deliver thoughtful and brand-centric solutions that can be built upon iteratively, I have earned a reputation not only as a passionate advocate for users, but also an agent able to help organizations target outcomes and maximize their investment in design. In addition to my degree work in Interactive Communication and Visual Design, I am an alum of the Media Interface and Network Design Lab (M.I.N.D. Lab) where I served as a Lead Research Assistant designing and moderating studies on e-health, mass media, cognition in mediated environments and web browsing behavior. Affable, resourceful and ever curious, in my spare time, I enjoy hiking, photography and mentoring Junior UX Designers through my work as a UX Subject Matter Expert. When I have time, I share good ideas via @bthfutr, and, do presentations on various topics including Usability, Accessible Design, Mass Media, the Digital Divide and Technology Education.

My Process

Most clients expect experience design to be a discrete activity, solving all their problems with a single functional specification or a single research study. It must be an ongoing effort, a process of continually learning about users, responding to their behaviors, and evolving the product or service.
Dan Brown
