About…

Good design is a renaissance attitude that combines technology, cognitive science, human need, and beauty to produce something that the world didn’t know it was missing—Paola Antonelli
Located in Seattle, Washington, I possess 5 years combined background in enterprise UX Design and User Research. In addition to this background, I can also direct 6 years experience delivering award-winning UI Design, Web Design and Content Strategy to approach complex problems. A data-driven UX designer able to deliver thoughtful and brand-centric solutions that can be built upon iteratively, I have earned a reputation not only as a passionate advocate for users, but helping organizations target outcomes and maximize their investment in design. In addition to my degree work in Interactive Communication and Visual Design, I am an alum of the Media Interface and Network Design Lab (M.I.N.D. Lab) where I served as a Research Assistant moderating and helping design Human Computer Interaction(HCI) studies on e-health, mass media, cognition in mediated environments and web browsing behavior. Affable, resourceful and ever curious, beyond my design work, I write design about trends and share ideas via @bthfutr, and, have been invited to deliver presentations on various topics including Usability, Accessibility Law, Mass Media, the Digital Divide and Technology Education. In my down time, I enjoy hiking, horn carving, training Ridgebacks, cooking and amateur astronomy.

My Process

Most clients expect experience design to be a discrete activity, solving all their problems with a single functional specification or a single research study. It must be an ongoing effort, a process of continually learning about users, responding to their behaviors, and evolving the product or service.
